| | Vor ? Jahren machte ich mit meiner Familie Urlaub in Kerry. (Ich mag nicht mehr sagen, wie lange es her ist, sonst weiß gleich jeder, dass ich schon fast 100 bin. Es war herrlich. Die Hausherrin des von uns gemieteten Hauses bat mich, etwas von meiner Begeisterung mit nach Hause zu nehmen und so für ihr Ferienhaus in Deutschland ein wenig Werbung zu machen, was ich gerne tat. Als sie nun in der Nachbarschaft erzählte, woher ihre Gäste kamen, traten auch einige ihrer Bekannten mit der Bitte an m. ich heran, für ihr Haus das Gleiche zu tun.
Einen besonderen Vorteil sehe ich darin, dass ich ein hervorragendes Verhältnis zu den jeweiligen Ferienhausbesitzern habe, die alle inzwischen zu lieben Freunden geworden sind. | Umpteen * years ago may family and I spent a holiday in Kells, County Kerry, Ireland. It was paradise. The landlady we booked the house with asked me to take some of my enthusiasm back home to Germany and, this way, advertise her house on the German market, which I was more than glad to do. Soon some of the landlady’s neighbours found out and asked me to do the same for their houses – and here I am.
I have to confess that lovely guests and the house owners who have all become dear friends in the meantime have made it easy for me.
* At this pointI used to say exactly how many years ago it was that I visited Ireland for the very first time but now I think it makes me look as old as the hills. | | |
